About Us
The Ensemble was founded in 2007 under the direction of Terrance Wright and is comprised of former members of The Boys & Girls Choirs of Harlem, where they performed from ages 8 to 18 while being trained in both technical and professional performance excellence with the distinguished Boys Choir of Harlem, Inc. As adults, they continue the tradition of excellence as ambassadors of world-class musical talent and epitomizing the impact of music to uplift and inspire today’s youth.
The Alumni Ensemble is an artistically driven organization dedicated to maintaining and continuing the legacy of the Boys Choir of Harlem and the Girls Choir of Harlem as envisioned by their founder, the late Dr. Walter Turnbull. Through their training with the Boys Choir of Harlem Inc., adult members of the Boys & Girls Choir of Harlem Alumni Ensemble are experienced, successful professionals and ambassadors of the power of music to the world.
